Generations Dance Theatre is dedicated to the appreciation and significance of dance for all ages by showcasing choreography that is thoughtful and appealing to the diversity of society.   We encourage anyone- regardless of ethnicity, age, and dance ability- to participate in our choreographic endeavors, while at the same time promoting those not interested in performing to become a member of our audience and a dance advocate.

Director Biography

 



Kathleen Dominiak is an adjunct Professor of Dance in the Valparaiso University Department of Theater where she teaches dance and choreographs for VU’s Dance Ensemble and theater productions.  She holds a BA and an MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, and is the Artistic Director of Generations Dance Theater.  She has performed and choreographed nationally with Aerial Dance Theatre, Strike-Time Dance Company, and Texas Woman’s University Dance Ensemble.  She also choreographs musicals for many regional theater companies in Northwest Indiana.  Her theater performance credits include Kathy in Singin’ in the Rain, Gladys in Pajama Game, and Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, where she won the NIETF Best Featured Actress in a play for 2006.  Ms. Dominiak is also a Pilates Instructor in Munster, Indiana where she does private instruction.
